...apparently not. The Nestorians first called themselves Chaldeans....when the missionaries of Roem first got to them and built their church in what was known to have been geographical Chaldea. It wasn't till 200 years later, after the Assyrian discoveries, that the "Chaldeans", who were not realigned with Rome, decided that they would be Assyrians. So much for Syrian "Always" meaning Assyrian. --------------------- |
