I too am sorry that we did not meet. When I read your reply(posted on the Saturday of the convention) that for the first time in 22 years you had not shown your work, I incorrectly assumed that you wouldn't even try to set anything up. I am so sorry that I thought you would be one to give up quickly!!!
I saw pictures of the 'shrouds'. I was kicking myself. I mean I was bored during the banquet. The only two friends I had there ditched me to talk to members of the opposite sex. I wish I had taken a stroll down the lobby then. I had a vague idea of what you look like as I was in the room when you tried to ask John Nimrod a question and the two guys came up to you and asked you to leave. You even glanced in our direction. I was sitting with my mother and cousin not too far from the microphone.
It was my first convention and all I can say is that you are a very patient man. You are up against alot. When you were asked to stop your line of questioning, if you recall, there was some grumbling in the room. One guy behind me said, 'every year, he brings up this issue'. I can not believe, these monuments don't capture the imagination. One guy I spoke with said he did not think these monuments would prevent our young people from becoming assimilated. Have you thought of approaching the problem for a different angle? You could ignore the community, become famous in the white man's world and then our people would be calling you, 'renown' and treat you with the respect you deserve. Look at how much they are obsessed with Andre Agassi.
