Dear Sirs,
I might be interested in joining your chatroom...however if you could clarify what position you take on possibly unpopular views even when respectfully presented, it would help us both. For instance, I am not a wild supporter of the Sanctions against Iraq...do not believe that by increasing the levels of misery there, we Assyrians will gain a country, or anything else but further scorn and ridicule.
I am interested in making our Heritage better known in America and around the world and to that end don't feel that the usual manner in which we conduct ourselves will help in that at all. In other words...just how serious are you, or is yours also a place for our people to lick their wounds, engage in impotent yelling matches and denunciations of A-rabs and Islam...continue playing the victimized Martyr role we've made into a profession almost, all the while adamantly refusing to engage this country and its institutions in the ways it requires people to do if they are to be effective and not laughed right out of existence?
If you'd care for a sample of some of our views, you can go to "fredparhad.com" and click on "forum".
Sincerely,
Fred Parhad
