: Jeff, Pancho :-), et al,
: Being Americans, I think I should allow you guys to start this one off.
: Draft a letter to every member of the U.S. government, that's not too emotional, and not too sarcastic.
: Sincerely ask that they stop the sanctions on Iraq.
: I'll join in and help draft the letter after you guys have posted it.
: Pshena,
: Dave
Dear David,
I sent the following letter to the Senators and Congressman of Michigan (and of my local district):
It's not as good as yours, but I sent it days ago (before yours), so I couldn't steal the ideas out of it!

Dear Senator/Congressman (Levin, Stabenow, Bonior, Knollenberg),
My name is Jeffrey J. Atto, and I am a 19-year-old sophomore at Lawrence Tech University. I am writing you today because I want to know what your position is on the sanctions that are in place, which are starving and killing innocent Iraqi civilians. Do you support the sanctions on Iraq, and if so, why? If not, why? I would like to know what you feel about this issue, because, after all, you represent me and others on a nationwide level. Please e-mail me as soon as possible, write me a letter, or you can call me, if you wish. Whatever mode of communication is most convenient for you is fine with me.
Thank you very much for your time. I know that you are a busy person, but I believe that it is your duty to respond to all of your constituents. Keep up the good work.

Regards,
Jeffrey J. Atto
