Ilber, yes HIM, writes about an Assyrian woman jailed in Afghanistan for speading Christianity, saying we must help or she will be hanged. Another Assyrian writes that she deserves it for going over there.

I swear we haven't an enemy in the world better than each other. What a bunch! How much MORE self-loathing can there be in us? We stand as the primary judge and executioner of Assyrians. Where others would be inclined to let us off, our own people insist on condemning us. Where others read fairness and mercy into the Law, and plead mitigating circumstances, we insist on the letter of the Law, mercy or justice be damned.

Who needs to attack us, or wipe us out, as we're doing just about the best job of annihilating ourselves and our Heritage as anyone can?
