I want to share something with you all that just happened to me a few hours ago. I had just left the CARE office (in West Bloomfield), and I took Northwestern Hwy. to get back to school. At Northwestern and Inkster, I had an accident. It was very dark, and I saw something in the road ahead. I looked more closely, and before I knew it I was coming up quickly towards 3 or 4 deer that were crossing the Highway. I slammed on my breaks, but I hit one of the deer. It was smaller, and after the impact it flew off to the left side of the road, onto its side... kind of twitching or shaking. I don't know if it survived or not, but after calling the police they suggested that I go in and make a report. I wen tto the Farmington Hills police station, and when I told them that I had just hit a deer, they told me that they had a few calls about deer in the road at that spot, so either the deer went back into the road, or stayed in the median. The moral of the story is... be careful when you drive, and appreciate life. Had I hit one of the larger deer, I most surely would have been injured. I am fine, but my car is really jacked. I don't care about that, though.
