A Panel Discussion title:
"Driving While Black, Flying While Brown: Racial Profiling in America Post September 11th"
WHEN: Thursday, February 21,
WHERE: Georgetown University, Main Campus ICC Building - Room 115
TIME: 7:00 to 9:00 p.m
ADC will be represented by its legal advisor Mr. Kareem Shora, JD who will address the impact of racial profiling on Arab Americans after the September 11th terrorist attacks on our nation. He will also draw parallels between racial profiling in the African-American community and the Arab-American community and discuss the various forms of ethnic profiling and discrimination addressed by ADC in the past five months.
Other speakers at the forum will include
Ms. Kelli Evans, Esq. (Relman and Associates),
Mr. Keenan Keller (United States House of Representatives Judiciary Committee),
Mr. Hilary Shelton (NAACP)
Ms. Huda Hassan (Council on American-Islamic Relations).
The open forum, which is part of Black History Month celebrations at the Georgetown University, is sponsored by the Georgetown Black Student Association, the Young Arab Leadership Alliance, and the Muslim Student
