You were right. America's chickens are coming home to roost with alarming frequency.
Someone should keep a running count of how many people are killing their own families. It used to be mostly strangers who'd get gunned down. Increasingly wives are killing children...hurbands are killing entire families...wives are killing husbands and husbands their wives. Seems divorce isn't final enough for some people. Young kids are ganging up on and killing other kids...even boys as young as 7 and 11 have turned out to be killers.
This is of course "normal". All that word means is that enough people do it, and the rest accept it as nothing out of the ordinary. When a woman drowns her five children and isn't legally insane...when a government official, a "woman" no less, says that the death of a half million children is an "acceptable" price to pay for a policy...it tells you there will only be more people who learn the dismal lesson that violence solves problems, or is no hindrance when you need to impose a "policy"...either on the children of strangers or your own.
Really, what's the difference? I mean if Iraqi children had attacked the United States, I could understand this brave and proud nation, with the colors that "don't run"...killing them. But they didn't do a thing to us...even though we can get so frightened of what they MIGHT do that we'll kill them in their cradles.
If I don't like this policy someone will tell me I "hate" America...as if this country started out to be a baby-killer. Well, come to think of it, it DID kidnap, rape and kill Black babies...and they weren't too kind to Native American children. Okay...so it HAS been a part of our inheritance, but that doesn't mean we have to keep it up.
Violence between us here has been only growing and will continue to do so. There is no such thing as stepping outside your door, killing several children in cold blood, then going back inside and being a warm and cuddly father to your own. Try it.
