This was posted on beth...we need to keep it in mind...and recall that Zinda magazine refused to print the simple facts of Sarguis' smear against Narsai. This is what we do out of envy for the few Assyrians we manage to produce who bring our name some distinction out in the world. Wilfred would pee in his pants ( his own, not Andre's, although...?) if Andre Aghassi agreed to be interviewed by him...that's because Andre has made it clear he is as ashamed of his Assyrian heritage, modern one, as he can be. That makes him desirable because we have learned to value nothing so much as a good round kick in the face...for our "Lord", remember?
While the article is presented as an excerpt from a legitimate newspaper, a paragraph has been inserted regarding Zinda magazine...I doubt if anyone will think the San Francisco Chronicles knows what a "zinda" is...but you can't blame Wilfred for trying to be "Grat".
I have no interest in defending Narsai or Danny. There is a lot more to this story but this isn't the time or place to discuss it. I just can't help but wonder at Wilfred's eagerness to rush this story into "print"...which is after all in the first stages of discovery...while refusing to clear Narsai's good name from the lying slander of the one Assrin we have ever had who "made" an entire High School Football team.

Assyrian Man Indicted in Lucrative Auto-Dialer Payphone Scam
21 March 2002
Courtesy of The San Francisco Chronicle & The Newsbytes Service,
(ZNDA: San Francisco) Two Northern California men were indicted today on charges of orchestrating an elaborate scheme to bilk Pacific Bell out of a half million dollars in payphone revenues. A federal jury returned a 17-count indictment against Berkeley residents Daniel David, 36, and Scott Nisbet, 38, for charges of mail and tax fraud, conspiracy and money laundering.
The indictment is the result of a three-year investigation by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Division.
Unconfirmed reports to Zinda Magazine indicate that Mr. Daniel David is the son of Mr. Narsai David, famous Assyrian chef, restaurateur, and president of the Assyrian Aid Society of America, a charitable organization.
Authorities said the two men leased two dozen pay phone lines from Pacific Bell and routed the lines to a nearby empty office. From there, the two allegedly connected the lines to an autodialer and made more than a million calls to 1-800 numbers, knowing they would receive nearly 24 cents for every toll-free call made from the pay phones.
The money laundering, tax and mail fraud charges stemmed from the two men's attempts to mask their identities and cash checks from the long-distance carriers, the indictment alleges.
Authorities said they were alerted to suspicious activity after David reported roughly $440,000 from the scheme as income on his tax returns. David later claimed that he had not been paid most of the money, and deducted that amount as a bad debt expense, the indictment alleges.
If convicted, both men could face up to 30 years in prison and nearly $1 million in fines.
