I have heard that a circle/ring represented perfection to the ancient Assyrians, but I don't know that that would translate to their concept of the earth being a sphere. We use "arb'a qoonjiyateh d-doonyeh" today as poetic language, I don't know that ancient Assyrians used it the same way. There is no evidence that Assyrians were aware of continents or that the earth was a sphere. It's merely conjecture.
: we still use the term four corners of the worled even though we know that earth is round. and if you notise in the epic of gilgamish gilgamish is serching for everlasting life. he travels not for a serch of where the world is ending but rather
: where imortality is.
: everything in the assyrianreligion sujested
: a circle of no end and so i dought that they though the earth was flat.
