Dear Readers, I truly sympathize with Fred. He's obviously a talented individual with artistic insight that has enabled him to see the world in dimensions we'll never
experience. His interpretation of our country, history, heritage are manifest in his amazing sculptures and statues. THe works of his I saw online reminded me of John
Keats ' Ode to a Grecian Urn, where he goes something like "beauty is truth and truth beauty, that is all ye need to know..."
However, I just wish that people like Fred understand that they too can still learn so much from life. There are literally thousands of undiscovered theories, paradigms,
constructs that he hasn't seen. Unfortunately, he has diagnosed the world with the flat perspective that Christians have ruined it. Such a viewpoint is immature,
underdeveloped and childish. The thing is, he has greater capacities than that, he can move beyond such a self-imposed limitation.
Dear Fred, I beseech you to set a paradigm. Move beyond your self imposed intellectual boundaries. Immerse yourself in texts and theories moreso than superficial
hearsay or whatnot. Try to gain a holisitc understanding of human behavior, processes, events and circumstances. Human behavior can be described by a multitude of
disciplines - sociology, biology, economics, religion, etc. The ability of the true intellectual is to understand and grasp theories outside his intrinsic domain. Come on Fred,
you can do it! Understand the ability to adopt different perspectives.
Consider our dialogue here as art. Just as you fashion a statue out of raw slab, here we are constructing something out of nothing. From a void and blank HTML space
we are synthesizing ideas that vary in degree and intensity. Use your vision as an artist to see beyond what you've traditionally seen. Do this because your mere
presence in this forum helps others do exactly that - look beyond what their instinctual knowledge is to a world beyond.
Im not sure if you'll think, what arrogance does a 19 yr old have to tell all these things to a man much more experienced with life than myself. But i tell you this only
because you are a template that history has regenerated time and time again; your thoghts, angst, cyncicism and originality has championed people like Kant or
whatnot.Use it to your advantage, and soberly try to understand concepts and theories beyond the immediacy of your vision.
