: ### Fine then give me some counter arguments and if I was wrong I'll change my stance.
: Let's talk and debate facts.
xxx I'll give you a counter argument as soon as I can get my hands on unadulterated Iraqi historical artifacts. The problem is that we're looking at certain histories through eyes that are biased by our modern culture & by other belief systems... remember that argument we had? Facts are open to interpretation, & that's what's happened to the history of the land that is now known as Iraq. What do the "natives" think about their own ancestors? That's how a cultural anthropologist is supposed to think. Though, I think the whole practice of anthropology is a Western one... which I think may be related to an old imperialist mindset that categorized the "other" in certain ways. In order to dominate the "other" it was necessary to study the "other". I don't think that modern cultural anthropology is like that necessarily, but I think that's how it started. In other cultures, was there a practice of "anthropology"? Or was it, for the "other" cultures merely a game of domination of one people over another people... not one superior species over another inferior species?
