I'm glad you found my "pisheeta" (as Fred calls it :-)) website interesting. When Fred first found it, he thought I was some scholar or academic type or something. Of course, that placed me in the path of his wrath right from the get-go. Let me assure you, though, I'm just a "layperson" and it's just a hobby....I love our language and the Peshitta New Testament is a great example of Aramaic.

It doesn't surprise me that bibles are translated from the English these days....I mean, if the "west" disregarded Aramaic so long ago because of their anti-Semitism, why not disregard the Greek today?

Christ was one of us, our own people. He spoke our language and the "Christian" New Testament was first penned in it...we have preserved it all these centuries.

It's just one more thing the "west" has taken credit for...by claiming it was in their own Greek language which has primacy.

The website is a small attempt by one Assyrian to give credit where it's due.
