This is a clip from a recent news article. It speaks for itself:
Mitzna, in an interview with Britain's Sky television aired Sunday, said Israel could not achieve peace with Palestinians without dismantling Jewish settlements in occupied territories long championed by Sharon and the Likud.
Alluding to the Sharon government's ostracism of Arafat, he said Israel could not wield a veto over whom to negotiate with and that "terrorism must be met with military means" but doing so was no substitute for dialogue in pursuit of peace.
"You deal with enemies, you don't deal with friends and unfortunately we will have to deal with the Palestinians because just the use of military power will bring us nowhere," he said.
"I think Israel must get rid of the illusion that we are able to control 3.5 million Palestinians against their will."
