The situation in Nogales is even worse than I thought it would be. Economic conditions were horrible. Unemployment is at a major high. The only jobs only a few thousand people have available are in the maquiladoras which cause major damage to the environment as well as to the workers directly.

Mexico is so dependent on import from the US. It's so far from self suffiency, it's unbelievable.

I didn't want to come back home.
