Word is she's doing better and better...has to recover from the chemo first...then grow stronger...but the operation did waht it was supposed to do.

When psychiatry was all the rage someone compared its results, effectiveness, to the old Mayan practise of drilling holes in the skull to let the "bad spirits" out. They found that in one third of the cases the patient got better, in another third they stayed the same, and the last batch got worse. Modern psychiatry turned out to be almost as effective.

Someday the way we handle chemotherapy and the rest of the treatments we have will seem like so much jungle voodoo. Thank Ashur Lina was in the better third.
