In Response To: Re: A Little Comment (Ashor Giwargis)
Dear Ashur,
Prof Odisho is trying to unify the names into one nation. He is not trying to use the names all separate. In order to reach all the communities of our nation which have been separated by religious denominations,
+++He's getting close...getting warmer and warmer. He says we have been "separated by religious denominations"...if he would just go all the way...one step further and say..."we have been separated by religions"....he'd be all the way there...free at last, free at last, thank Ashur...free at last!
one cannot expect to force upon them the Assyrian name, but to teach them and educate them on why they must choose the ASSYRIANNAME AS A NATIONAL NAME FOR OUR PEOPLE.
We canot afford to be fanatics with our own community, Educating people is the only way to go and not forcing a name upon them only by words. Whether we like it or not, the census states Assyrian/Chaldean/Syriac, now it is up to us wether we want to capitalize on this issue or not capitalize. The only way we can capitalize on this isseu is by educating both the Syriac (Jacobite) Church members and the Chaldean Catholic church members into understanding that without unity under the Assyrian name, there is no future for our people in the Homeland in the indigenous criteria of ideology.
Truly we must work together on UNITING the communities one step at a time. Finally reaching a National Name for our people.
Thank you
God Bless

+++Way to go Ilber...keep it up.
