Nikko,
You're welcome to post your views, however, your messages will be deleted if you continue implying that Chaldeans are Assyrian Catholics.
Respect the views of the Chaldeans as they respect your claim to be Assyrian and as they don't remind you that it was the English church missionaries that gave the name Assyrian to the Chaldean Nestorians of Hakkari. History cannot be changed despite the attempts of Assyrianism followers to follow Saddam's example and re-write it to fit their agenda.
Syriac schools expenses in northern Iraq are paid by the Kurdish government and NOT by Assyrians. Definitely not by Assyrian Democratic Movement, despite its propaganda. Yes, thanks goes to it that it worked for having Syriac schools opened in northern Iraq, but they're not paying for them. It's rather the Kurds whom you're insulting in your previous messages.
Try to learn to be grateful to the Kurds, somehow. It's good for your spirit.
Ghassan

Ghassan,

Im not implying anything Ghassan. Im stating FACTS and you can make the rest up in your own mind. I there anything wrong with saying that Assyrians, Chaldeans and Syriac are the same group of people?
If "Chaldeanism is anti-fanaticism, realistic, and pragmatic" and "is for loving all of our ancestral Fathers: Babylonians/Chaldeans, Assyrians, and Arameans. All without exception" then why would any of the FACTS I have stated trouble you?

I do, when they listen to and respect mine as well - instead of closing their eyes, ears and hearts out of fear and "ta3assoob". You can say that English missionaries "created" the Assyrian identity, but then could you just explain to me why, if the Chaldean identity was older, they did not establish a national movement such as the Assyrians did (in the 1860s mind you) until now? What were they waiting for?
Why is the Assyrian national movement also supported by members of the Syriac Orthodox, Syriac Catholic and Chaldean Churches - while the recent Chaldean national movement isnt even supported by all the members of the Chaldean Church?

For your information the Kurds do not supply the schools with enough funds and the rest has to be cut out of the wages of the ADM's "dwikh-nawshe" (peshmerga's) and donated by Assyrians in the Diaspora either directly or through the Assyrian Aid Society and its sister Chaldean Surath Charity.
Some schools were built by the Assyrian Aid Society (AAS), such as the school of Harmash (which Mar Hanna Qello turned into a Kurdish school), the school of Hezane in Nahla, etc. The AAS has also built dormitories for students studying at the different schools and universities in cities such as Dohuk and Erbil.
I am not only a proud Assyrian Aid Society member, but I was there for 3 months and I saw it with my own eyes. If you don't believe me that's up to you.
>Try to learn to be grateful to the Kurds, somehow. It's good for your spirit.
Im sure youre grateful to them... especially for creating the first Chaldean "political party"... lol!
The missionaries called us Nestorians "Assyrians" back in the 1850s and only 60 years down the track we had formed our own political parties - the first being the Assyrian Socialist Party founded by Freidoun Bet-Oraham in 1917. Most of our political parties today have been created and are run by Assyrians for Assyrians - from different religious denominations too may I add.
I cant believe that after 500 years or more of Chaldean identity it took the Kurds to buy some Chaldean Catholics into creating a party. No offence, but it really is a joke.
Wake up azizi khoni Ghassan...
