AAS's policy has been doing that for years.
In Nahla during our medical trip we visited 8 villages one of them purely Kurdish called Dupereh.
One of the Kurdish men approached us and thanked us explaining how not even his own people have done what we had done for them.
Meanwhile in Blejani after the AAS had reroofed 10 homes, 2 of them Kurdish, one of the homeowners literally jumped in front of the AAS car and stopped our AAS Iraq team thanking them for reroofing his house and inviting them to dinner to than them and as a sign of respect for the work they had done.
Meanwhile we stayed in an AAS Pharmacy in Dohuk where many of the people who came were Kurdish. This co-operation between us and the Kurds meant that when we had a surplus we would give vital medicines to their aid groups and when they had a surplus they would in turn give it to our groups.
It was a win-win situatiobn for all and a polciy that AAS-Iraq continues to follow today.
