What does the average American know about Iraq, anyway? I hear people talking about how we should bomb Iraq... this evil land where the evil people need to die... a genocide in the form of sanctions has been committed on that land (almost as much as the holocaust...just give it a few more years) and now we are considering using Nuclear bombs on them?
Imagine how many minutes (or seconds) I'd last in some parts of the country if I told the people that my mother and grandparents were born in Iraq, though I was born here in America and are just as "American" as they are. They'd stone me to death faster than a whore in Afghanistan... and there you have it, even I'm brain washed for using that comparison to Afghanistan based on propaganda/prejudice.
How many news programs have I heard say "The Iraqis can't just transfer from a totaliarian dictatorship to democracy... they have a history of not being able to govern themselves..."
This is said about the offspring of the people who live in the area where society as we know it was created. Makes you want to say "Oy Vay", doesn't it??
