I understand that it´s tempting to think aina is "where it´s at", because they have five people who post round-robin. But, like the other ditzy place, beth...these people are tackling non-issues...they are huffing and puffing over things they have no power, let alone competance, to decide or even debate. But that´s the beauty of it too...never has it been easier to be "something"... let alone an ASSYRIAN!

They think by discussing the United States budget they stand to get a share...or influence the disbursal of funds.

What they all could have done was gotten their act together as Assyrians, if that´s what they claim to be, here in America and done something positive about this heritage HERE...where they might have some role to play...instead of lecturing Saddam, Barzani, Bush and Kofi Annan...like anyone listens to these weirdos.

After over a hundred years in America there is still not ONE Assyrian language school or cultural center...but tons of manure about Arameans and Mandeans and DoDo birds and all manner of things that require these people to do NOTHING...except "Talk"...which we determined some time ago is their one criteria for being a "real" Assyrian...ie. You have to talk a lot about it.

Monument anyone?
