So, there you have it.
The US takes over Iraq, and sits by while looters plunder Iraq's valuable heritage. The US soldiers continue to say "We are not police officers" and just let it happen. The looting of the National Museum is probably the sickest thing I've seen thus far (other than the massive human casualties) in this war. Shame, shame, shame... those artifacts can never be replaced.
It's not just Iraqi, Mesopotamian, Assyrian, etc. history that's being stolen and destroyed, it's human history. I am beside myself.
The other article is about the International Monetary Fund, loans, etc. Iraq will never prosper again if those (the international bankers) people have their way. They would love to loan Iraq trillions and hold them in some form of monetary slavery. Look at Afghanistan as an example of what happens to countries in this day and age after the US bombs them.
Disgusting.
