That's it. I don't care about AINA. I don't care about any organization headed by people who so openly disrespect people they don't even know. & I don't care for people who can convince themselves that this behavior, even if wrong, is to be expected.
It doesn't have to be racism. It's just these damned perceptions of anyone they don't know, even people in their own community, that makes them act that way.... like Peter. Hell, they don't give anyone the benefit of the doubt, nor are they interested in doing so. Actually, this happens everywhere.... BUT what makes it worse is that everyone settles for this shit - getting treated like shit & slinging it right back at other people. Where does this end??? Everyone's playing in a pile of shit!!! Yes, I tell Peter off in these damned posts every once-in-a-while, but you know he banned me from the forum for no reason but the articles I was posting (not even my own thoughts). What the hell???
& for the love of all things alive, will you, pancho, please stop talking trash about getting an education? That's what these kids need right now, or they'll never be in a position to affect any sort of change in the U.S. School is like anything else in life - it can affect anyone in numerous ways. & of course, like anything else you buy in this country, you're going to have to deal with the bullshit, false advertising that comes with the deal. & I know that school doesn't mean "education" necessarily, but for a lot of people it does. We need Harvard, Yale, Princeton, & MIT, & big liberal arts grads, etc. desperately. We need these people b/c they not only have an "education", but because they will have all the damned big connections this community needs to get anywhere. That's how this country works.
