For some reason, I feel more easily able to identify with others who are "like me"... I believe it's a human trait. It's nice to be able to talk to others about the little things that we share, that we would like to call "culture".
You are correct. No matter where we go, this generation in any country does not know if they truly belong there... outcasts.
We are all desperately seeking identity... some put all of their hopes in Christianity. Others turn white and bleach their hair and shave. Others go the "black" and "Mexican" route (there's no shortage of this in the Detroit area)... still others go other ways. Turk, Kurd, Arab, Persian, Armenian...
What is "us".... or, as former President Clinton said: "It depends on what the definition of 'is' is"
I trust you are more confused after reading this. Just know that I agree with you.
When will you say something that I don't agree with? Hurry up and get it over with.

: these are things in which I seek by contributing to this forum. It's what most of us want is it not? Someone to decipher our depraved and perplexing mutterings? Someone maybe to crack the crode and slide in the crevices?
: Is this not the outcry of a nation and more specifically a generation of outcasts, desperately seeking identity?
: I ask thee again...
