I am not sure whether Jews really started this all. It could be that we fall into the pattern of thinking lik ethe Bible. In other words, that what is in the Bible is somehow true. Untrue are the lies pasted throughout the Bible, about Hebrews and such. They elevated themselves from what they were: local tribes with chieftains, to what they claim to be but never were: "promised-land people who were Chosen by alaha" and righteous and superior to others with some strange empire that seemingly dissapeared because no evidence remains of it. Except of course, what is related to other nations like Assyrians and Palestinians and Hittites(the people who actually did have such empires)... Thus, from the Jews come many misconceptions, including those peratining to themselves. Enough about them though, the discussion was relating to the three religions. The Jews might have been first on the scene, but many others were eager to capitlize on these new "phenomena". Interesting it is how Christianity was "officialized" just at the right time. Interesting it is how the Muslim fate did not spread so much and so deep just from a few Arab conquests, but were deeply rooted in business transactions. When the numerous shrines of gods before Islam were present, the current states in power at the time had no issue, but they sought to capitlize on this new phenomenon and used it for strategic business purposes. This is not to detract from any faith, I am just saying what is my understanding of how such religions really got so deeply rooted, besides the typical switching over from one faith to another.

Once again, however, I maintain that these current hostilities do not relate to religion. Nonetheless, the three religions are just like what you said, to a great extent, as far as I am concerned.
