When NASA contracts out to companies, a lot of NASA staff, who were previously funded by the government, will look for their old jobs, but within those companies, or these people will lose their jobs. So, the names of the corporations in charge shift around a bit, & a lot of the workers just affiliate themselves with whoever's put in charge.
