I read where high tech jobs now are being farmed out increasingly...like years ago the manufacturing sector was hit and agricultural products too comes from Latin America more and more.
That's the main problem with Capitalism...it requires unending profit...Once a lumber mill in the wilderness was a great enterprise because it made money first of all...but also provided the material for a community to be built...homes, schools and even churches. In its early formative stages the Capitalist has a vested interested in the well being of the people he sells to.
But that all changes when people have their homes and cars and washing machines and all that's left it so replace the things that fall apart and entertain the shit of people.
Then the Capitalist has to look elsewhere and that means where pay is less and environmental restrictions and Labor Laws don't apply.
Not until we decide that healthy communities are our priority and not the profits of the owners, will we stand a chance. Till then it's just a crap shoot on the Titanic.
