...but reading this just made me smile.
: It's sunny and hot here...but not opressive heat...especially nice in the shade and always a cooling breeze. We are over a mile high after all...I mean the town. Ouside in the patio I can see critters streatched against the stone wall, laying on the broad flagstones beating the heat. Four almost identical black and white kittens...locked and left in a filthy room by those animal loving trailer people...also two rabbits, one white and one grey...stretched out.
: Never saw rabbits anywhere but on menus and in cages. These two have a large patio with a grassy area, shade trees and plenty of salad growing around...flowers, at least there used to be. They're interesting when they aren't pets, though they're tame enough. They come running when I call, "bunnies!"...though they'd come if I yelled, "nimrod!"...what do they know. They eat from my hand, cuddle and rub just like the kittens. I had to put chicken wire over the gate because one morning when I stepped out onto the upper patio to pee in Fartman's potted plants I heard a squel from below and looking over the edge saw the grey rabbit flat on its stomach with Pooch, the dog, holding it down with one paw on its back. It was playing dead, I found out later when it ran back ito the patio after I dropped a potted plant right net to Pooch...scared the bejayzus out of him...he's almost totally deaf so yelling at him didn't do any good and before he could twist the rabbits neck off I had to do something...what better than a pot landing next to you.
: I never saw dirty white rabbit before either. The white one dug hisself a tunnel. It goes down about a meter then swings off to the right and I don't know how much farther it goes. I don't think he's trying to escape just prefers his own burrow rather than the little brick and adobe hutch Antonio built them. Anyway even though he cleans himself he looks like some kind of confectionary rabbit...white marshmallow with a dusting of cocoa powder on his sides, his cheeks and paws. Kind of interesting and yes even appetizing looking...those bright pink ears making a nice contrast.
