: These days, unfortunately, being somehow connected to the West and Europe is just too chic to resist in the Middle East. On the part of Assyrians, the connection can be made through Christianity. For the Kurds is a different story;
+++That's a good point. Christianity has been turned into a Western religion...a European one. Ask any American and you'll definitely get that feeling. That's another way in which this religion screwed us...turned us into people looking across the borders and the sea to our "fellow-reiligionists"...with whom we assumed we had more in common with, than living and working with out fellow countrymen and women. One more tragedy...Chgristianity has made us strangers in the land. I know it's odd when you consider all three majot religioins came from that region...but Western Christianity is the kick-ass kind...our version is the get-kicked kind...and so out neighbors obliged us...just what did they do wrong? Don't you all WANT to follow in Christ's footsteps...and where do those lead if not up to that friggin cross?
