the "shower"

xxx The "showe" I *suppose* you are referring to was an inside joke between me, Jeff, & his brother. You are right, the shower was NOT a mutually shared experience - Jeff's brother just happened to be touring & drove through Nashville, Jeff called me at 11pm, asking if I had a place for his brother to crash for the night since his brother was having a hard time staying awake at the wheel, so I called him back & said, "there's actually an empty, clean apartment right next door to mine, I have an extra mattress, quilt, & pillow he can put on the floor & sleep on." It turns out Jimmy didn't need a place to crash, but said he could use a shower to wake him up so he could keep driving. I let him use a clean towel, forgot to make coffee for him, & actually spoke to him for about 15min before I told him that if he wanted to keep driving that night, he'd better get going so he could stay awake & make it to Chapel Hill alive. I actually called Jimmy's cell phone to make sure he made it to Chapel Hill alive, since I have had a few friends total their cars after falling asleep at the wheel. I *wish* I could have asked him to play a song for me, because I love listening to people play & sing - but I didn't want to delay him too much. There was *nothing* sexual about our meeting - it was friendly, & I thought he was an incredibly sweet & wonderful guy. That's why it's funny - the whole "shower" referrence - it sounds "wrong," even though nothing happened or would have happened, since, as you well know, I have a boyfriend that I am in love with & I'm not the cheatin' kind - do you get it now?
