A while back Jackie finally made good on the pledge she'd made to the AAS and sent the check for the second day care center for Iraq. She'd been giving Narsai the stall. Things were 'slow"...she was "busy with the convention, had health isues..."don't even THINK of calling till after October" or whatever. I told him she'd drag it out as long as she could...it's a "power" thing...to see how many times she can "get him" to call her. Power people are like that. Narsai, being who he is, was willing to play along figuring better late than not at all...for the sake of the "cause", you know. And Jackie knew it, so she kept him calling. Saving up her money for Shawn no doubt.
So...I wrote a little piece about how I doubted she would ever pay up cause she was getting more bang for her buck by having Narsai waiting on her etc. It wasn't more than ten days later I saw Narsai and he said I had been all wrong about Jackie because she had just mailed in the check..."AHEAD of schedule". Didn't have the heart to mention the post and it probably had nothing to do with it.
So now I hear that after years of speculation and a whole host of women, Wilfred Alkhase is getting married. Well now if that don't beat all. I feel like one of the family. Don't tell me again that writing serves no purpose.
