At the starting line the runners lined up. Then a disagreement broke out as to which one was authentic and authorized to run at all, or claim any rights to the jersey he and she were wearing. Soon the Suryoyo and the Chadean and the Nestorian Assyrian and Othoryoyo and Jacobite and Maronite and Aramean and Syrian were arguing among themselves.

The gun to start the race went off but none of them heard. The Assyrian walked away with it.
