Note to Shawn:
Once my brother and I were shopping at Somerset mall over in Troy. We were walking by the stores, and as we walked by the Abercrombie & Fitch store with their "hip", young music and "cool" clothes for high school and college youth... we both shuddered. He told me that he's never been in that store, and never will go in. I hate the store too, but I said "Let's just go in once."
As we walked in, there was a young, well-dressed guy by the door, greeting people. He was saying things like "What's up?" and "Hey, how's it going?" Most people weren't paying much attention to him, but my brother went up and started talking to the kid. After a short while, he rejoined me in the store and I asked him "Why in the world did you talk to that person?"
His response was the following: "He's getting paid to greet people, the 'What's up' guy, so I figured I'd talk to him and get my money's worth... make him work for his pay." He was serious, but I laughed.
So, Shawn, since I'm sure you are logging your hours (what's the going rate for reading an internet forum while being a lawyer... $350/hr?) I figure I should throw in a message to you once in a while... just to get my money's worth.
After all, you and I both know that your case against me is not only foolish, but baseless. It will turn out to be the biggest mistake you have made in this case...bringing me into it. I have about as much to do with the case as David Chibo, the Doc, Stella, Alli, Melody, and the others.... but I can't wait to show up in court, with every single email that you and your clients have exchanged with me. It will show just how much of a poor attorney you really are.
I can't wait.
:-)
