...that these kinds of sentiments, so openly expressed, even in a country that used to know more the benefits of Free Speech, cannot possibly endear it to the community. Assyrians tend to be nothing if not conservative and extremely grateful to be allowed into America...where they don't want to rock the boat.
Well, I do love this country and it's principles no matter how flawed...being flawed comes with the terrority and there will never be a perfect anything when dealing with humans and their institutions especially. Bush doesn't love this country...neither do his people. They love what they can get out of it...love the fact that it's insitutions can be bought and manipulated to the profit of unscrupulous people such as himself and his pappy before him.
Do I really need to broadcast these kinds of sentiments while trying at the same time to get support from our community? Don't I already know that our people are ready to fragment and fracture, to pull apart and turn against each other at the drop of a meatball? Isn't it hard enough to get five Assyrians to stand on one side of an issue...to band together without setting off rumors and using any excuse that comes to hand to turn one against the other? All someone has to do is copy these posts and send them here and there...coupled with rumors etc and no one will want to support "me" and my views by seeing any monument I've made installed anywhere. Wont they be doing God's work and Bush's work and America and Assyria's work, or the corners of it they inhabit...by "outing" me...taking great satisfaction that they ruined an "enemy?
I have no desire to glorify a "stupid" Assyria, none.
