...the idea that our salvation could come from the killing of the son of God made no sense to him. Abelard later on reconciled his own concerns with salvation in Christ by saying that salvation is not found through the death of the son, but through Jesus' words and actions in his life and even until his death. Abelard took to a different interpretation of the death of Christ. He didn't understand why God would kill his own son. And you always ask that question.
