Assyrians

I'm from Israel, and I want to ask you all what do you think about Jews and Israel. It is very important to me and I think to the rest of Israel's citizens to know if we can trust on at least one of our neigbors. I really hope that you'll get your land back, and that a new Assyria will be re-establish in the north of today's Iraq.
We Jews and you Assyrians have alot in common:
We both suffered from genocide (We from the Germans and their cooperators and you from the Turks and the Kurds), we are both ancient semites, we both use some form of armaic in our languages (We use aramaic/assyrian alphabet, and you use a new aramaic language & alphabet called neo-Syriac), We both been hated because of who we are, we both been tried to be destroid by the muslim/arab world, and We both spent a lot of time in exile.
I know that the ancient assyrians were responsible for the lost of the ten tribes, but that was more than 2700(!) years ago. I think we can leave it behind us and focus on a brighter future.
I know that some of you think that we Jews hate assyrians, but I have to make it clear now that this isn't the truth. When we talk about Assyrians, we talk about the ancient assyrians and what they did to us than, and usually during a conversation about the Bible. Most of us don't even know that Assyrians still exist today (I just found out this week), and the ones that do know and hate assyrians today are usually some religion extrimists who don't represent the majority of our nation. I can assure you that more than 90% of all non-exrimist Jews know only about two Semitic nations left from the Bibilic times: Hebrews (Jews and Samaritans) and Arabs, and they know nothing about the existence of Assyrians today (I thought, till this week, that they vanished along with the Phoenicians and the Babylonians).
And one last thing:
Don't loose hope! we didn't give up all those thusands of years and we finally got our land back. the days of Saddam and his dictatorship are numbered!
