Contrary to my luck, when I was telling my coworker about how I was going to purchase Durant's "Story of Civilization" from the book of the month club, she said that she had "something like that" in her basement.

So, if that sentence wasn't bad enough, here's another:

My friend GAVE me the entire set of the Story of Civilization books. They were just sitting in her basement.
