: No prob :) I still read this forum from time to time. If I don't have anything interesting to post, I just won't post. bI'm going home this weekend for a little over a week--I need a break from lab and such.
xxx Definitely know that feeling. Have a wonderful time at home!
: I'll keep you updated on Lina when I found out more, as I'm sure Stella will. I continue to be optimistic for Lina and others because that is the only choice I have....
xxx Good advice. I'm surprised no one can find a doc who can do it for free - some doctors will eat the costs... you just have to find one with the good will, a doc who's acting under a local [religious-based, usually] non-profit organization, or one who wants a bit more training (they won't do a bad job). It takes a few connections to find someone like that, but there are doctors in the States who will do it. & surely there must be someone in Chicago, with all of its medical centers, who can perform a free bone marrow transplant on a needy non-citizen?
: Take care Lilly....And how good of you to take care of your sister :)
xxx Well, it's not like I have a choice... just kidding! Poor baby... It's like she arrived here in pieces & I get to put them all back together. She's showing remarkable recovery, though - she actually had the energy to argue with me today. Must go to sleep now. You take care, too... :)
