Actually, in a Puritannical country, sex is supposed to be dirty...that's where they derive their "gratification" from...from doing that "dirty thing". Plus which Christians in general blame all the ills of Humanity on Woman...on her "secret" ability to undo a man..."get the bitch" is the credo of most "healthy" men, who are after all just avenging Humanity.
In the Emerald Forest, John Boorman has a delicious little scene in which some white renegades kidnap several native women. These people live practically naked and are completely uncivilized where sex is concerned.
The men hustle the women off to a jungle night club sort of place where they will be prostituted to the other men working on an oil rig or something. But before putting them to work they dress the naked women in a collection of gaudy mini-skirts, see-through blouses, nylons, GoGo boots...all the things that are "sexy' to white men. The women of course look ridiculous. Naked, they didn't seem "sexy" either...but dressed in these "alluring" and "seductive" rags they look completely ridiculous. This is how the men will like them...dressing like what amounts to whores...makes them 'sexy". The native men, meanwhile sneak up and rescue their women just in time...and as they run away they fling the miniskirts and such aside....and go back to being naked...and "unsexy". very funny.
