xxx Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they gave part of northern Iraq to Turkey, for being an ally. BUT, dividing Iraq other than that would be out of the question for the oil industry biggies... I'm sure they'd like to keep the rest of Iraq as whole as possible to facilitate the movement of oil over land to the Gulf or to Turkey. Otherwise, you have to deal w/ stupid boarderline disputes over all pipelines... Oil industry execs think quarterly returns like the rest of the slimey lot of corporate big wigs.
