xxx Sorry, ashuroyo, but I'm REALLY busy today, so I don't have much time to put into this response. Here's what I think, very quickly... it's just my opinion.
: The Kurds have Abdullah Ocalan, he is still a life: thanks to USA.
xxx I don't know much about this person, so I can't comment on him.
: .... the persians have Salman Rushdi, he is still a life; THanks to Brittain/USA
xxx Though I don't know much about Iranian/Persian history, I do know that Islamic fundamentalism in the Middle East is a reaction to Western (French & British) colonialism, US gov't policies which tend to favor Israeli gov't policies over indigenous Palestinian human rights & which also tend to back leaders/groups of people who are friendly to US corporations (oil), & corrupt rulers in the Middle East who are willing to compromise the rights & will of their own people to gain the favor of the US gov't. Perhaps you should blame the West for the reactionary intolerance one sees in the Middle East.
xxx "It was no accident that 20th-century Islamism was born in the era of European colonialism. Egypt was under British rule, and reactions to colonialism took three principal forms - nationalist, communist and Islamist."
-BBC News
: Recently the palestinians had for a little time Arafat, he is still a life; THanks to USA/Europe.
xxx WAIT a minute... would the Palestinians NEED Arafat if it weren't for Europe/USA to begin with?
: The East-Timorese had Xananja Gusmao, he is still a life...
xxx The US gov't had a notorious history of backing the Indonesian troops that massacred so many East Timorese over cash crops (see http://www.motherjones.com/east_timor/comment/chomsky.html).
