For another excellent flick that touches on so many aspects of the feminine, esp. in the role of a queen (woman with power), I'd recommend the Spanish film "Mad Love" ("Juana la Loca"). It illustrates how competitive & horrible a man can be toward a woman when he is faced with a woman who is more than his equal. She remains strong (in a sort of "feminine" way) - she's not insane (men can not read her), just preoccupied by her husband's rotten affairs. Beautiful film.
