VETERANS MARCH AGAINST BUSH’S RUSH TO IRAQ WAR
White House rally features Naval Lieut. Commander of World War II Cruise Who Became Superior Court Judge.
The veterans will muster on the Ellipse near the White House on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at 1 PM.
Wearing their medals and uniforms (or parts of uniforms), they will march on the White House in groups of fewer than 25, the number required for a police permit.
The veterans will carry signs demanding President Bush not “go it alone” against Iraq, but work through the United Nations in unity with France, Germany and other allies, including the Arab nations.
The World War II vets will stress that their comrades gave their lives to stop fascism and that democratic principles must control U. S. policy today to create peace in the Middle East and elsewhere.
Veterans wishing to join the march are invit4d to contact VETERANS COALITION AGAINST RUSH TO WAR IN IRAQ at (212) 255-0682; FAX (212) 620-6166
