Akhoonie Alladin,

Firstly thank Ashur none of our people were hurt in the incident.

This is very sad news.

I remember when we first brought the electricity generators to the village of Heezaneh.
The truck that had been hired to bring the electricity generators to the remote villages in Nahla had broken down due to the treacherous roads.

The villagers tractor was called in to take the generator onwards to the village.

I had the privillege to ride atop the tractor and after passing two rivers and crossing countless ravines we finally entered the village of Heezaneh.

Having never had electricity in their history the villagers had all come out to welcome us as we arrived.

The women "quolquiloon" just like in a wedding and threw sweets and lollies on top of the tractor.

As the children ran around collecting sweets the men grabbed a goat that they had prepared and right then and there they cut its throat as it struggled to break free.

Not knowing why they were killing the goat one of the men explained that tonight we would be there guests and that this goat was part of the feast they'd prepare for us.

One of the villagers a Dinkha Skharya commented on the occassion and stated, "What you [AANF & AAS] have done for us is similar to giving a blind man sight."

I had the oppurtunity to meet Rezza Zibari, the nephew of Barzani's wife in Dinarta. He's in charge of the Nahla region and he should be immediately contacted in order to determine what justice and compensation the KDP police intend to take regarding this matter.

If this is an isolated incident then the criminals responsible should be brought to justice with the help of the KDP leadership.

I have already contacted our people in North Iraq and will await further information before taking any action.
