So, the liver is a site of synthesis of a lot of proteins involved in coagulation that float around in the blood, so *if* (& I looked back at your old post - you do mention that her liver is not doing so well right now) her liver is affected enough, another thing that can affect her ability to clot would be reduced levels of certain coagulation proteins made by her liver (such as coagulation factors V, VII, IX, X, and XI, prothrombin, and fibrinogen). This *could* also be affecting her ability to clot (besides the decreased platelet count), & perhaps is another reason for her bruising.
