The Good Germans

That's such a good point. I remember in history class, the teacher made a big deal trying to explain how hitler gradually passed laws to limit freedoms, etc. First the Jews couldn't have the highest positions of government. Then they had a curfew. Then they had to buy their goods from such and such... then give up their weapons, etc... he did it all to show that these people weren't just full citizens one day and then slaughtered the next. It was a gradual process which slowly eroded their liberties.

I suppose the same thing happened with the German people... and the same thing happened with the American people today. How long will it be before people in the future look back at us and refer to the "Good Americans"?? How many years?
