Remember the Chinese American scientist the government locked up for nine months in solitary? Then backed off and released?
Today they wouldn't. Today you would never know he was in jail...you wouldn't hear about him.
Just saw "The Sound of Music" tonight. I'd recommend you all go rent a movie set during the Nazi era...see which side we are beginning to resemble.
The nice blond kid in love with the eldest girl gradually turns into a young zealous Nazi. In one scene when he seems to know the contents of a private telegraph...the puzzled girl asks him how he knew....he replies, "we make it our business to know everything about everyone."
And we've got thousands of them now..people we pay, people whose business it's going to be to know all they care to about us...we've given them a mandate, we've begged them to make us safe...no matter what. And just like those sweet faced Nazis, these people will eventually turn out to be the greatest threat to you of all.
Wen Ho Lee was innocent and was able to get out...after nine horrendous months. Mohammad Ho Lee wont be as lucky...and you might live to be the unluckiest of all.
