: : : : Sounds already pretty much of escapism with an immanent tendency towards apathy.
: : : xxx There's nothing wrong w/ escapism if practiced in moderation.
: : : : Such a self-isolation is only a variation of the self-centeredness which at the other end of the power scala produces corporate greed.
: : : xxx There is nothing wrong w/ self-isolation if practiced when necessary & appropriate. Just as man is a social creature, so can he also be defiantly independent. One can not share every aspect of oneself to others - we are all isolated from each other to some extent. We can not communicate perfectly, & the arts are representative of this condition of constant exchange between the individual & that which surrounds him/her. Corporate greed is an ugly extreme which I, & many other people, feel is ultimately unhealthy & not natural.
: : : It appears to me that this society that surrounds me has lost touch w/ nature, perhaps as a way of escaping, mentally, the idea of the inevitable, which is the cessation of physical existence on this earth. I think this is an unhealthy form of escapism b/c it is practiced too much.
: : +++ That's all? Ready? Anything to commend?
