: What's your point? Why are you posting these articles? Please explain
your reasoning... I looked on their website, & they don't even give names
of the "translators." & a Google search quickly exposed this document...
+++ My point in this?
This one is only a half-point - the other half you find in my complement
post entitled "On the other hand: "Bomb Mecca""
+++ Both articles together show the complete picture of the much proclaimed
"war of civilizations" follity.
+++ To expose that interpendency and totality was my point.
+++ But, Lady, compliments to you:
By feretting down to the Guardian article on "Selective Memri" (a very
elegant title, indeed) you were doing fine research.
This means you are taking things seriously which is well appreciated.
+++ The problems surrounding MEMRI deserve an extended discussion for sure.
Only so much for now:
I've asked for their original articles in Arabic, Farsi(Persian) Turkish
... - I checked - professional translations of rare quality in all target
languages (German, Italian, French, Russian, Spanish, Turkish).
No sloppy work, no concoction - all with utmost precision.
So far so good. So we haven't got to deal with any distortions or blurring
yet, not yet.
+++ What Remains is: Selectivity.
+++ If one knows precisely the limitations of any one info source - one can
deal with it appropriately.
This situation and its still inherent problems is totally different from
any situation where media info is - from its roots and in its substance -
nothing else than a totally permeating warp not allowing even for a selection to be rescued from lies.
