...by way of us. A very wise fellow in Mexico City pointed out that the Moors occupied and civilized lower Spain, for some 800 years...and by osmosis the rest of Europe... during which time they mixed their blood and culture with that of Spain. Arabs, being no dummies, were flabbergasted at what they saw of us when they came to BetNahrain and naturally soaked it all up...like we did when we dumped all we had and moved to Jerusalem to learn what we could from the Jews.

Anyway...fast forward and the Spaniards span the globe at one time having the largest empire in its day or any, practically...and they bring their language to Mexico...as well as their Arab blood and all the cultures they picked up on the way...including ours. And so it is that here in Mexico...miles and centuries away from BetNahrain I find the word for "she", in Spanish, is "ella"...with the double "l" being pronounced as a "y"...so you say "Eyya" ...which, to the ear not stuffed with greatness...will sound exactly like our own word for "her"...or "she" even.

Now...go kill somebody...or better yet, get someone else to do it for you.
